Scope: To design and manufacture a unique gift which highlights SML's design and manufacturing abilities; as well as showcasing some of its advanced in-house manufacturing technologies.
Highlights: This exquisite custom piece was waterjet cut from 1/2" thick solid bronze plate. The logo on the front was acid etched, while the inscription on the back of the paperweight was engraved using the three-dimensional machining centre. The final process was 24-karat gold plating. The accompanying metal holder was machined from a solid block of aluminum and features a beautiful watermark etched crest and gold plated feet, all complimented with a striking handmade leather carrying case.
