W. Garfield Weston Foundation - Commemorative Artwork

Scope: Soheil Mosun Limited was commissioned to manufacture design, supply and install this commemorative artwork plaque depicting Log Drivers on the Ottawa River, on behalf of the W. Garfield Weston Foundation at the National Capital Commssion Voyagers Pathway site, on the Ottawa river across from Canada’s Parliament buildings.

Highlights: This commemorative artwork stands 7’ high with the artwork panel measuring 40” high by 96” wide which is comprised of stainless steel with the graphic of the Log Drivers artwork being etched around the perforated panel. The artwork panel is wrapped like a scroll around the posts. The posts are 4” in diameter, seamlessly welded and finished to match the panel with the whole display embedded below grade with concrete embeds and stainless steel bolts and capped with stainless steel escutcheon plates to match the overall finish. The lower didactic ledge panel is made from 1/4" stainless steel and attached to the panel.
